I recommend gaming via a VM only if you are playing older games or your Mac GPU is fast enough (for instance, I can play Fallout 3 via Parallels on my iMac no probs, but I have absolutely no chance with Witcher 2). While using my Apple laptop on the MAC operating system, I decided to open system preferences and switch to Bootcamp which takes me to the Windows operating system. For CPU-intensive tasks you won't notice much difference, as the code is executed natively with graphics-intensive applications (like games) the performance is noticeably lower as the rendering commands are routed through the OS X GPU drivers which are less optimized than Windows drivers. I tried playing Halo CE with it once and it was just unplayable so I had to find the Mac version of Halo which is apparently incompatible to windows servers which means that there was nobody to play.Īre you guys saying that there is such thing as a windows emulator that actually works? As in, there is no lag at all?Obviously the performance will be lower. With support for Atari, Famicom, Game Boy, Game Gear, Neo Geo, NES, Nintendo DS, N64, GameCube, Sega Genesis, Playstation, PSP, SNES, Virtual Boy and WonderSwan to name a few this thing has got it all covered. Every time I tried to use an emulator to play a video game it lagged. The absolute best and easiest emulation solution for users on the MacOS is OpenEmu. ![]()
